The Competencies page displays the organisation competencies with a corresponding description. The Administrator can add, modify and remove competencies per reporting year as required.


To set competencies, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Go to Framework > Competencies



STEP 2: Select which reporting year you want the new competency added to.



STEP 3: Scroll to the bottom and enter the required information as described below.

Staff Classification types

Displays all available Classification Types within a list box. You can select one or more classification types to be linked to a particular competency.

Classification types are defined within Administration>Management>Staff Classification

Organisation Link

Displays a drop down list of organisational hierarchy elements sourced from the system.

This restricts the list of Competencies that staff can choose within an assessment depending on where they are positioned in the organisation.

Note: This is an optional field and is only visible if activated by CAMMS.

STEP 4: Click 'Add' to add the new competency.


Notes: 


  • A Competency that has already been selected within an assessment cannot be deleted.
  • If a Competency is created and linked to Classification Types, and those linkages are changed later on (e.g. existing Classification Type removed and another one added), that change will only affect new assessments created thereafter. Thus, changing the linkage does not affect templates or assessments that are already created.


The administrator can also replicate a set of competencies to another year rather than adding them individually every year.


To replicate competencies, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Go to the 'Replicate' tab in the Competencies page.



STEP 2: Select the reporting year which have the Competencies you want to replicate. This is selected in the 'Reporting Year' field and the value 'New Reporting Year' field will always be the next reporting year.


STEP 3: Click 'Replicate' button to proceed the replication. When a confirmation box appears, click 'Ok' to proceed or 'Cancel' to go back to the replicate page.



Note: If you have already replicated a set of competencies and try to replicate again the system will warn you saying, "These Competencies have already been added. Replicating again will create duplicate records. Do you wish to proceed?". If you proceed by clicking 'Ok', this will create a duplicate set of competencies on top of the existing competencies.
