Project Management

Project Viewer

Has the ability to view all projects in the system regardless of he/she being in the project board and team.
However, they will not be able to edit projects unless they have edit permissions for their project position or have IPM Admin, Project Manager permissions

Note: ‘Project Viewer’ user role will be activated when the external setting ‘Enable Project Viewer user role in Manage Users’ is turned ON.

Project Creator

Project creator role is ideally given to project assistants so that they would be allowed to create projects on behalf of the project manager. 

Project creator will have the permission to create a new project or duplicate a project, and edit the newly created project till the 1^st phase of the project is signed off (given that external setting ‘Allow Project Creator to view/edit the projects created by him/her within Project Register and Executive Dashboard when they are not a part of the project board’ is turned ON). However, they will not be allowed to delete any projects created.

Project board and team supersedes project creator role. Therefore, if a particular user with the project creator role is added to the board and team of a particular project, the board and team role permissions would apply.

Project Manager

Can edit all projects
Can delete all projects
Has access to re-submit all sign offs
No access to Administration areas (Project Settings area) and cannot re-open projects

Director

Users with ‘Director’ permission will have the access to all projects which are linked to their directorate regardless of them being a part of the project board and team. They will not have the access to any project outside their directorate unless they are in the project board and team of those projects. 

Note:  

• The staff’s directorate will be determined by the Directorate to which the staff is linked within the Staff area. Hence, the staff must be linked at the Directorate level. 
• The directorate which the project falls under will be determined by the Service Profile to which the project is linked through Details or Linkage objects. 

Permission for users with 'Director' user role will be as follows.

• Will be able to add, edit and delete the content of projects linked to their directorate
• Will be able to submit the projects under their directorate for sign off
• Will not be able to approve projects under their directorate unless they have the authorization to sign off
• Will be able to log change requests against projects linked to their directorate
• Will not be able to terminate projects linked to their directorate
• Will not be able to edit projects once those are signed off, closed and terminated unless they are in project board and team and have required permission
• Will not have access to Project Settings and Workflow configuration area
• Will not be able to create new projects or duplicate existing projects unless they have Project Creator user role or any super role

IPM Administrator

Has unlimited access to all areas in the system. Can Re-open projects. 

Reporting

Project Executive Dashboard

Only the users with ‘Project Executive Dashboard’ permission ticked will be able to see Project Dashboard within Executive Explorer.
Note: Super roles (IPM admin, Project Manager or Project Creator) will anyway have access to Project Dashboard area regardless of having ‘Project Executive Dashboard’ user role

Finance 

Project Budget View

Users with Project Budget Viewer permission will be able to view information within Executive Explorer> Project Budget. However, they will not be able to edit any details unless they have Project Budget Edit permission or any super role (IPM admin or Project Manager) permission.  

Project Budget Edit

Has the ability to edit information within Executive Explorer> Project Budget. 

Resource Management

Resource Administrator

Users with 'Resource Administrator' permission will have the ability to view and update the ‘Resource Manager' section within Camms.Project. 

Note: Super roles (IPM admin or Project Manager) will anyway have access to Resource Manager regardless of having ‘Resource Administrator’ user role

Resource Viewer

Has view access to Resource Manager section within Camms,Project. However, they will not be able to edit any information within Resource Manager unless they have Resource Administrator or any super role (IPM Administrator or Project Manager)
